
When to Meditate
Meditate at the time of day that you feel you can be able to do it regulary and consistantly. My favorite time to meditate is early in the morning when the world is still and quiet. If you are not a morning person then evenings may work best for you when the world is quiet once again. I do however have the ability to meditate any time of the day. I am able to block all the noise and disruptions from my mind. I like to meditate when all is still, that is when I have the best meditation.
Where to meditate
As humans we are creature's of habit. So when you choose to sit in meditation it may be best to have one specific spot in your home for this pourpose. This sopt will garner energy. If you create a spot specific to meditation, you will find it easier to meditate, this will help a great deal with your practice.
I do not have enough room in our current living situation to have a "special space" for this pourpose. I do however, always use the same space each day. I sit in the corner of my living room, actually I sit on top of my Bellicon Re-bounder. I am able to get comfortable and sit without disruption. My "boys" know that when I am sitting there that they should not, and do not distupt me until I open my eyes. lol, It took me a long time to train them, but now it all works for us. Because I choose to meditate early in the mornings they are still sleeping, so there are no distruptions at all. Alex joins me in meditation when I meditate later in the day. I often do this just so that he can meditate as well. I meditate three times per day. Early morning, afternoon and before bed for deep relatation before going to sleep.
Timing your meditation
I choose not to time my meditation, I find it disruptive to my practice. Often we have things planned therefore we must time our meditation, if this happens then I use the kitchen timer, the kitchen is far enough away so that the timer, does not startle me. Many look at their watches. I have a friend that uses a casset tape, she records her mantra over and over again for a specific amount of time and then when the tape is done, then so is her meditation. I like this, and it would not in any way be disruptive to the meditation because it is your voice you are listening to.
Breaking the fast day 6
Wow - six days already, time keeps going by faster and faster each day. Today I am taking it slow and easy (again). I have a lot of watermelon juice to still drink. I am drinking warm lemon water in this moment. I have 4 dates soaking for later this morning. It will be interesting to see if I get to eat them or if Alex finds them first. I may make a banana smoothie later on today, which will be quite liquidy and take my time drinking it. Cinnamon sounds good to me today, so I will add a little to my banana smoothie.
This is my plan for today. I really am not feeling anything for food right in this moment, I will eat the dates, but not so sure about the smoothie, sounds like a lot after I had just written it down. lol I just went outside and picked some fresh Aloe Vera, so I will make some juice, after I eat my dates because I know if I drink the juice first there will be no eating the dates. Fresh Aloe Juice fills me up for many hours.
