Happy Birth Day to Melissa...

Oh ya... it's Melissa's birthday tomorrow and although she isn't online... I bet she'd love to hear from you all (if and when she gets online) so feel free to send your birthday wishes to her here or on facebook.

They've been sleeping in their van with all their possessions crammed in it as well... so not much sleep happening on upright seats! (no room to recline the seats). The rain has been non-stop and their tent is full of water during the night so they can't stay in it.

Today they moved to a new campsite and are hoping it'll stay dry for the night.

Nothings changed...

Hi Everyone it's Aleesha again. Just letting you all know that nothing has really changed. Melissa and the boys are living off the land in a tent... it's warmer now so this is a good thing!

Got $24?

Hi Everyone this is Aleesha... again.

Melissa and her boys are living in a tent and I have some super great news!!! Hippie got a job. After all this time being unemployed, sending out soooo many resumes a day it would make your mind spin... they finally got a job.

In the meantime, they have found a camp ground which costs $24 a night - it has showers!!!

If anyone can spare a nights stay for these beautiful raw folks... please do. You can send them a donation via paypal. loverawlife@gmail.com is the addy you can use for paypal.

If not, then please do a random act of kindness in your own neighbourhood. I know I've been buying elderly people coffee lately. Whenever I go in to grab a tea for myself... if there's anyone elderly in the shop waiting to pay, I pay their bill with mine. Today I drove past a fundraising car wash which had a long wait list - I didn't have time to wait for a wash, but I did have time to give them all the money I had on me (about $8 in change) and off I went on my way.

My daughter and her friend are washing my car as I type this LOL

Thanks for reading Melissa's blog and hopefully she'll be in a place with walls, sink, bathtub and heat soon... and of course... internet!!!

Homeless... again

Yup you read it right... Melissa and her boys are homeless again... this time in the freezing cold which sucks. They are scouting around to find somewhere to pitch a tent, in the meantime they are in a little leaky trailer someone said they could stay in till the end of the month.

There are so many layoffs everywhere that finding a job is still something they work on everyday but still are having no luck. Melissa has been getting some work doing Reiki with horses though so this is good. She's such a gifted healer... communicating with the horses and relaying that to their owners. If you know of anyone who's interested in having her work with their horse, shoot me an email and I can get in touch with her. She can work hands-on or by distance... either way is equally effective.

So let's send some warmth and sunshine her way... Melissa is doing her best to remain positive during this time. It's been a year since this adventure began - but it is definitely very hard on her. If you have any spare energy to send (or spare change) she would love it!

Oh and her e-books... there won't be any new ones for awhile... she needs to have someone to live first.
